Carne Asada Tacos

Omar:

Okay so we haven’t done a great job with posting our reviews. Because of that I’m going to throw in some quick posts of some of our top spots in the city, depending on certain categories. This week will be Mexican because that is my favorite!

Best Mexican Food in Chicago:
1) Carbon (Two locations – http://www.carbon26.com/) – Delicious meat whether chicken or steak and make sure to ask for the roasted red pepper salsa! The side of elote is also the best I’ve ever had.

2) Las Asadas on Western Ave: (http://chicago.menupages.com/restaurants/las-asadas-2/) – Quality meat at great prices

3) Huentitan on North Ave: (http://birriahuentitanrest.com/) – You can go at 2 a.m. and there is still a line. Quick, cheap, and delicious. Burritos are the way to go here.

4) Chavas Tacos on Grand Ave (delivery): http://www.grubhub.com/chicago/el-original-chavas-tacos/ – The quality of meat may not be as good as Carbon or Las Asadas but they deliver freaky fast like Jimmy John’s and still hit the spot. Guacamole is pretty good too.

5) Pancho Pistolas on 31st St: http://www.panchopistolas.com/ – Okay so this isn’t necessarily a “quick” Mexican Food spot but it definitely is a favorite. Aside from the great tacos, you have to try the Jumbo Margaritas and guacamole. You can pick up food also. Check them out before a Sox game!

Runners up: Many people will argue for La Pasadita on Ashland and yes they are good too. Cesar’s Killer Margaritas aren’t bad either but people go there for the Margaritas more so than the tacos!
